Hey there, my name is Aria!

I'm so glad you're here!

Hey, I’m Aria! I recently made the big move all the way from Ontario to Calgary, and honestly, I am so excited to be out here. Starting this new chapter and getting to keep my absolute dream of photography going in a place this beautiful is pretty incredible.

I’m not going to lie, I never really know where to start when it comes to introducing myself, but I’m going to give it my best shot. If you want to know the whole backstory, keep reading down the page. I’m diving into my childhood, my love for all things creative, and the exact moment I picked up a phone to take pictures of nature, right up to how I fell head over heels for capturing elopements and couples, and how I got to where I am today.

Where the Adventure Began..

Growing up in a small village in Southwestern Ontario, my childhood was basically one big outdoor adventure. My summers were spent catching crayfish in local rivers, riding bikes with friends until the streetlights came on, and spending long, lakeside weeks at my family’s cottage off Lake Erie. I was notoriously the kid who waited until the absolute last second to head home.

Looking back, those days are exactly where my love for nature and discovery grew. I fell in love with being outside and chasing that feeling of adventure, which is a massive part of the reason I eventually packed up and moved across the country to Alberta. Being surrounded by the massive views out here feels like the perfect next step for that same kid who just loved to grab her bike and explore.

The Creative Roots

Ever since I was young, I’ve always been drawn to creative things—painting, drawing, singing, you name it. That curiosity eventually led me straight to photography. I actually started out just using my phone to take pictures of nature, but as a teenager, I finally got my hands on a real camera. I became completely obsessed with dramatic lighting and deep shadows, and I spent hours on YouTube learning everything I could from Canadian photographers.

Once I wanted to shoot portraits, I constantly begged my cousin to be my model. If you scroll back far enough on my feed, she’s in almost every single shot.

Then, in 2022, I photographed my very first couple session, and everything instantly clicked. Seeing that genuine connection in front of my lens changed everything. It completely sparked my absolute passion for elopements and couples. Today, I’m still that same creative kid, just focused on chasing the moodiest light and capturing those real, honest moments that happen when you just let people be themselves.

My Style & Philosophy Today

I carry that exact same love for adventure right over into my photography today. When you work with me, it’s not about stiff posing, matching outfits, or forcing a fake smile for the camera. I just want to create a space where you two can totally let your guard down and just be yourselves.

My main focus is always on capturing the real, unscripted moments between you guys, completely surrounded by these massive, beautiful views. Honestly, think of a session with me less like an official appointment, and more like a fun day hanging out in nature with a friend who just happens to have a camera and is super stoked to chase the perfect lighting with you.
